INTERNMATCH ILLINOIS OVERVIEW

InternMatch Illinois is a web platform to connect Illinois students and other job seekers to employers who have internship opportunities of various structures available. Internships are a proven way for employers to find full-time employees and employees to assess opportunities. With InternMatch, each will no longer be limited to seeing candidates or opportunities that they happen upon. The online database provides information on internships and candidates that once were not reachable- allowing access to opportunities not even known without using InternMatch.

The site not only provides info on internships and candidates, but it helps organize your search.

For candidates, you not only get the info you need, but you can apply, respond to employer communications (interview requests, etc.), create a to do list, and make sure you don’t miss interviews by putting them on your personal calendar.

For employers, InternMatch offers full Applicant Tracking System (ATS) capabilities. Screening candidates is enhanced by a matching engine in which you get to set your own importance ranking for many soft and hard skills as well as experience and other factors. Candidates are presented to you in order of matching engine scores- although you also have access to the full database of candidates.

This beta version of InternMatch was created by OAI, Inc. with funding through the IL Department of Commerce and Economic Development to support their workforce development efforts to improve outcomes for underserved populations seeking jobs in manufacturing and logistics industries. Future plans are for the system to serve all jobseekers in Illinois in all industries.
