Within InternMatch is a match engine, not unlike dating services use, to rank opportunities for you. The system automatically lists opportunities by the % of match they are to your profile and preferences. This feature saves you time and increases your chances of getting an internship. Of course, you can see all internships and apply for any that are interesting to you. Likewise, employers see all applicants in descending order of match to their preferences. This saves them time sifting through all applicants. However, they also can look through all applicants in case there is a “hidden gem” who doesn’t fit their typical profile.
